Open Music Initiative

The Open Music Initiative is a non-profit initiative established by leading academic institutions, music and media industry organizations, creators, technologists, entrepreneurs, and policy experts. The initiative aims to create an open-source protocol for the uniform identification of music rights holders and creators. Unlike building a database or a specific product, the outcome of the Open Music Initiative will be API specifications to enable industry platform interoperability.
